Goodwood Festival of Speed, GoodwoodIn the summer of 1936 the Earl of March, better known as racing driver and Brooklands winner Freddie March, staged a private hillclimb for the Lancia Car Club at Goodwood House. He won it, driving his own Lancia Aprilia. In the winter of 1992 his grandson, the present Lord March, had a vision of a new motor racing event at the family home.
